Kericho
Rich volcanic soils and high-altitude farms produce cherry with dense bean structure and bright acidity — a hallmark of the Rift Valley growing region.
Kibochi Star Coffee Limited processes and markets premium Arabica coffee from smallholder farmers across three counties from cherry to clean lot, traceable and export ready.
Kibochi Star Coffee Limited is a privately held coffee processor and trader registered in Kenya. The company operates a fully equipped wet mill in Koru, Kisumu County, serving an extensive network of smallholder coffee farmers across Kericho, Kisumu, and Nandi counties.
Our model bridges the gap between the farm gate and the international market providing reliable cherry collection, efficient processing, quality milling, and transparent marketing channels that benefit farmers and buyers alike.
We process both fully washed clean coffee and naturally processed buni coffee, giving buyers a range of origin profiles from the same high altitude growing area.
Cherry is collected from farmer networks across three neighbouring counties and channelled to our central wet mill in Koru for consistent, traceable processing.

Home to our central mill at Koru — the processing and logistics anchor for the entire network. Kisumu station farmers deliver the highest cherry volumes per season.
Cool temperatures and consistent rainfall in the Nandi Hills develop complex cup profiles — floral aromatics and winey fruit notes favoured by specialty roasters.
We produce both fully washed and naturally processed coffee from the same highland farms giving roasters and buyers genuine flexibility without sourcing from multiple origins.
Fully washed Arabica processed at our Koru mill. Cherry is de-pulped, fermented, washed, and graded on raised drying beds — producing a clean, bright cup with clear origin character.
Naturally processed coffee dried whole in the cherry. The extended fermentation and slow drying develop winey, fruited, and heavier-bodied profiles prized in specialty markets.
Our collection system is designed around the smallholder farmer — minimising transport distances, ensuring fair cherry pricing, and maintaining traceability at every step.
Farmers deliver ripe cherry to their nearest of 11 pulping stations across the three counties. Short delivery distances preserve cherry quality and reduce post-harvest losses. Cherry is weighed, recorded, and priced at intake.
Collected cherry is transported to the Koru wet mill where it is de-pulped, fermented, washed, and dried. Our mill operates clean water circuits and raised drying beds to produce consistent, export-grade green coffee.
Dried parchment coffee is dry-milled, graded, sorted, and bagged into export lots. Coffee is marketed through local channels and directly to international buyers, with returns traceable back to the originating farmer catchment.
